Sports therapy projects are divided into endurance projects, strength projects, relaxation projects, and corrective projects based on the purpose of sports therapy. The specific situation is as follows:
1. Endurance project: It aims to keep fit, improve heart and metabolic function, and prevent coronary heart disease, diabetes, obesity, etc. For example, medical walking, fitness running, cycling, swimming, mountaineering, as well as running in place, jumping rope, going up and down stairs, etc. Endurance projects generally belong to periodic and rhythmic sports. Under the premise of the same intensity and duration of exercise, these sports have roughly the same effect on improving cardiac endurance. In addition, sports such as table tennis, basketball, tennis, and badminton also have a good effect on improving cardiovascular function.
2. Strength project: aimed at training muscle strength and eliminating local fat. Various types of medical gymnastics with instruments, resistance training (sandbags, solid balls, dumbbells, stretchers, etc.), are generally suitable for muscle strength reduction caused by skeletal muscle and peripheral nerve damage
3. Relaxation project: The main purpose is to relax muscles and regulate nerves. Medical walking, medical gymnastics, health massage, Tai Chi, Qigong, etc. are mostly suitable for patients with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, the elderly, and the weak.
4. Corrective project: aimed at correcting anatomical or physiological abnormalities in the body. Corrective gymnastics for spinal deformities and flat feet; Respiratory exercises to enhance lung function, abdominal exercises to treat visceral prolapse, functional exercises after fractures, and so on.
