In the past two years, I have often been asked by patients, "After the flu, I became 'positive' again. After being 'positive', I still haven't fully recovered from the illness, and I have coughed and had a fever again. All the antibody test results show positive. Why am I so prone to catching a cold?"
Cold is actually a very common disease in daily life, which can occur all year round. It is particularly common in the cool autumn and winter seasons and the gradually warming spring seasons.
It is normal for a healthy adult to catch a cold 1-3 times a year; But if you catch a cold more than 6 times a year, it belongs to frequent colds.
Children have weak physical constitution, and it is normal to catch two to four colds a year; If it reaches 6-8 times, it belongs to frequent colds.
Lack of righteous energy is the main cause
After multiple inquiries and examinations, I have found that most friends who are prone to catching a cold have some commonalities.
Firstly, these people generally have weaker physical constitution, or suffer from chronic underlying diseases. They usually feel sudden changes in temperature or have come into contact with cold patients, and they will catch a cold within a few days.
Secondly, the spleen and stomach function of these individuals is average, and their digestive and absorption abilities are biased; On this basis, some people also like to eat cold food or a large amount of fruits, which further reduces their digestive ability.
Finally, some people are often emotionally unstable, prone to insomnia and anxiety at night, and suspicious during the day. They always feel that their bodies have major problems, but they are unwilling to seek medical treatment or undergo examinations. Even if they see a doctor, they do not trust them and do not follow their doctor's instructions.
Repeated colds can indeed be a headache, and some colds can also trigger serious diseases such as pneumonia, asthma, myocarditis, acute glomerulonephritis, etc. So, it is particularly important to prevent colds and enhance physical fitness.
It is necessary to take preventive measures
As stated in the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon, "When there is a wind of evil and evil, it is necessary to avoid it at times.". Especially during some flu seasons, taking personal precautions can effectively prevent the occurrence of diseases.
As the saying goes, "To forge iron, one must be hard on one's own.". Cultivating positive energy, enhancing physical fitness, and enhancing resistance are the most fundamental preventive measures. No matter how good the elixir is, it is not as effective as having sufficient positive energy in one's body.
The most important way to cultivate positive qi is to enhance the function of the spleen and stomach. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the spleen and stomach are the foundation of postnatal development. The source of Qi and blood biochemistry in the human body is the spleen and stomach. In order to obtain sufficient righteous qi, it is necessary to continuously maintain and cultivate the function of the spleen and stomach. To maintain the spleen and stomach, it is necessary to eat easily digestible foods and try not to consume overly stimulating foods, such as those that are too cold or too spicy. More importantly, it is important to understand one's physical condition and not overeat foods that one cannot tolerate.
