Wooden Butterfly
Also known as Qian Zhang Zhi, Dou Ling, and 300 taels of silver medicine ("Diannan Bencao"), Yu Die ("Zhang Yuqing Medical Case"), and Yun Gu Zhi ("Veterinary Commonly Used Traditional Chinese Medicine"), they are dry and mature seeds of the woody butterfly plant in the family Verbenaceae, mainly produced in Yunnan, Guangxi, and Guizhou. Baibu
Also known as Souyao (Tao Hongjing), Baitiao Gen, Yetianmendong, Bainai (Yang Shi Shi Shi Fang), Jiucong Gen (Cao Mu Bian Fang), Jiuchong Gen (Classified Herbal Nature), they are the tuberous roots of plants in the family Baibiaceae, including the creeping, upright, or opposite leaf Baibiao. Winter flower
The flower buds of the Asteraceae plant Lonicera japonica, also known as the winter flower (from the Wan Family's Manuscript), the relief flower (from the Complete Book of Sore Experience), and the reading lantern flower (from the Compendium of Materia Medica's Chongyuan Collection), are the same as those of the Asteraceae plant Lonicera japonica. The taste is spicy and warm, entering the lung meridian. Its main function is to moisten the lungs and lower qi, dissolve phlegm and stop coughing. Treat cough, wheezing, and sore throat.

Platycodon grandiflorus
Synonyms such as 蔰, Baiyao, Liru, Gencao, and Luru (Wu Pu Bencao), Fangtu, and Shepherd's purse (Bielu) are the roots of Platycodon grandiflorus, a plant in the family Platycodon. The taste is bitter, pungent, and flat, entering the lungs and stomach meridians. The main function is to promote lung qi, expel phlegm and discharge pus. Treat external coughing, sore throat, lung abscess and purulent discharge, chest and flank pain, dysentery and abdominal pain.

Almonds
Also known as apricot (from "Treatise on Cold Damage") and mulaizi (from "Shi Yao Er Ya"), they are dry seeds of plants in the Rosaceae family, such as apricot or mountain apricot, with a bitter taste. The taste is bitter, warm, toxic, and can enter the lungs and large intestine. Its main functions include expelling phlegm, relieving cough, relieving asthma, and moistening the intestines. Treat external coughing, wheezing, sore throat, intestinal dryness, and constipation. People with yin deficiency, cough, and loose stools should avoid taking it.
Selection: ① Treatment for lung cold stroke and cough: half a liang of Asarum (mashed into powder), half a liang of Almond (soaked in soup, peeled and pointed, with double kernels, stir fried with bran and slightly yellow, ground as paste). Siraitia grosvenorii

Sweet in taste, cool in nature, non-toxic, enters the lungs and spleen meridians. Its main function is to clear the lungs and moisten the intestines. Treat whooping cough, phlegm and fire cough, blood dryness and constipation.

Synonyms include Ashe, Ayi, and Dizhen (from "Youyang Zazu"), Tiansheng Zi (from "Diannan Bencao"), Yingri Guo (from "Bianmin Tu Bian"), Youtan Bo (from "Guangzhou Zhi"), Honey Guo (from "Qunfang Pu"), Wen Xian Guo (from "Cao Mu Bian Fang"), Milk Berry Fruit (from "Hunan Wild Plants"), and Pin Xian Guo (from "Compilation of Commonly Used Folk Herbs"), all of which are dried flower trays of fig in the mulberry family. The taste is sweet and smooth, entering the lungs and stomach meridians. Its main function is to strengthen the stomach and clear the intestines, reduce swelling and detoxify. Treat enteritis, dysentery, constipation, hemorrhoids, sore throat, carbuncle and scabies, promote throat hygiene, stimulate appetite and expel parasites.
Used for symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension and pain, hemorrhoids and constipation, indigestion, hemorrhoids, prolapse, diarrhea, insufficient milk, sore throat, heat dysentery, cough and phlegm.

Tangerine peel
Also known as Hongju, Dahongpao, or Chuanju, it has a warm nature, a bitter and spicy taste, and belongs to the lung and spleen meridians. The main function is to regulate qi and invigorate the spleen, dry dampness and reduce phlegm. Used for bloating in the chest and epigastrium, vomiting and diarrhea due to insufficient food intake, and coughing with excessive phlegm.
Selection: Treatment for cough and excessive phlegm: 10g of dried tangerine peel and 50g of rice. Wash and finely chop the dried tangerine peel, boil in water to remove any residue, and filter out the juice; Clean the rice and put it into the pot, add some orange peel juice and water, cook porridge and take it once a day.
