People feel the external dampness and heat evil, or due to improper diet, cause internal injuries to the spleen and stomach, giving rise to the dampness and heat evil. The dampness and heat evil then pours into the bladder, accumulating in the bladder area and causing lesions, which is bladder dampness and heat. The main symptoms of bladder damp heat include frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, yellow or red urine, red tongue coating, and pulse count.
In our body, there are also acupoints for treating urinary tract infections caused by bladder dampness and heat, namely Dadun and Weizhong. These two acupoints are used in combination and are the "Three Gold Tablets" provided by the human body.
The Dadun acupoint is located in the area where the dorsal muscles of the great toe are rich and sweat and hair gather, resembling a mound of soil, so it is called Dadun. Da Dun acupoint is the well point of the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian. The Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian starts from the Da Dun acupoint of the Great Toe of the Foot and ends at the top of the head, passing through the genitalia in a circular pattern. Jing acupoint is also a good acupoint for purging heat. Therefore, puncturing blood at Da Dun acupoint can effectively clear the dampness and heat in the lower Jiao bladder and treat urinary tract infections.
Wei Zhong point is the combined point of the Foot Sun Bladder Meridian. "Committee" means accumulation; "Zhong" refers to the middle part of the three parts of heaven, man, and earth where the qi and blood in the acupoint are located. The acupoint name means that the damp and hot water and gas in the bladder meridian converge here. Bladder has heat. Puncturing blood and cupping at this point can unblock the meridian energy of the sun, expel heat evil caused by blood, and clear dampness and heat.
