Why do people gradually experience lower back pain, knee pain, and a feeling of being heavy on the head and light on the feet as they age.
This is the syndrome of "upper excess and lower deficiency", which means that there is insufficient qi and blood, and the qi and blood cannot reach the feet.
As the saying goes, "A person grows old before their feet grow old.". Friends who have raised green plants should be aware that if the roots of a plant have problems, it will not be able to receive nutrients and will naturally wither slowly.
But as long as the roots are not damaged, plants will not wither, and the human body is like this plant. As long as our feet have sufficient blood gas, the blood flow throughout the body will be normal.
How to collect Qi and blood? The ancients had a super simple method - kneeling down.
Kneeling is a type of meditation posture and also a health guidance technique. It can not only induce blood circulation and activate the whole body's blood, but also nourish the liver, tonify the kidneys, and protect the stomach.
1、 Knee coldness, foot pain, lower back pain, and indigestion can all be practiced
"When you sit cross legged with your legs apart, especially your waist, it is pulled forward. We can observe that the Kidney Meridian, Liver Meridian, and Spleen Meridian are actually pulled apart in some way."
Why practicing kneeling can nourish the liver and protect the kidneys is precisely this principle.
So how should we sit?
1. Friends who have not practiced can move their foot joints before starting;
2. First, place a slightly softer cushion on the ground, then kneel on the ground with knees together and heels together;
3. Then slowly sit on the heel and find a comfortable state, but do not directly press the weight of the whole body on the heel;
4. Finally, slowly extend the spine upwards and place your hands naturally on your thighs.
Such good sitting skills can actually be practiced by Taoist friends who have the following troubles. Spend more than ten minutes every day to restore blood to their body.
1. People who urinate frequently at night and cannot hold their urine.
Cold inside the bladder is actually due to insufficient bladder firepower. If there is a slight urination, it cannot be held back and must be discharged, and even nocturnal urination is excessive.
Due to insufficient transpiration power, the upward lifting force of the body is weak, so it needs to be strengthened.
2. People who have difficulty concentrating on food, are prone to stomach bloating, indigestion, and cold air on the face.
Kneeling can relax the chest and back, maintain the middle position of the spine, and work with breathing to push the air machine down, guiding air to the kidneys.
3. Knees, calves, and waist are prone to dull pain, and the lower focus lacks strength.
Kneeling and bending your legs can lock in Qi and blood, and protect your energy around your waist and abdomen.
Ten minutes of practicing Diamond sitting after a meal is the best, and 10-20 minutes of practice per day is sufficient. At the beginning of practice, there may be a slight numbness in the legs. If you feel numb, extend your legs and massage them before continuing with the practice.
2、 Kneeling and walking, guiding blood down and tonifying the kidneys
If the kneeling posture can be easily achieved, then you can practice "kneeling walking" again
It is not easy to bring Qi and blood to the soles of the feet at once, so first bring it to the knees. If the knee has sufficient Qi and blood, it will not be far from the soles of the feet.
Kneeling and walking is a wonderful way to draw blood down. Traditional Chinese medicine calls the knee the mansion of tendons, and the kneeling technique allows Qi and blood to flow down to the knee, calf, and then to the soles of the feet.
Find a bed that is not too soft or walk on the carpet while kneeling, and the blood and energy will flow continuously to the knees. The knees, due to the supply of fresh blood, can disperse the cold, relieve fluid accumulation, and alleviate swelling and pain.
When you kneel like this, you will find that your qi and blood easily run up to your knees, and as you walk on your knees, your waist is also twisting and your kidneys are replenishing.
Promoting Qi and blood circulation to tonify the kidneys can be a win-win situation. Especially male friends can practice repeatedly in bed, taking 50 to 100 steps a day and kneeling for two to three weeks. You will find that your waist, legs, and body are good.
For female friends who want to lose weight, it is also possible to reduce excess fat on the thighs, which is faster than tapping the pulse.
But if your friend has knee pain, don't rush to kneel down and walk. First, practice sitting with the King Kong and see if you can adapt. Wait until you get used to it before walking.
3、 Kneeling and bending down, nourishing liver qi and expelling liver toxins
After practicing the first two movements, don't rush to get up. You can continue practicing "kneeling and bending down".
Continue to kneel and place your hips on your heels. After sitting firmly, lean down with your forehead on the ground and your arms extended to your ears in a kneeling, bowing, and bowing position.
After ten seconds, stretch your arm back and clench your fist at the back of your waist, using your forehead to support your body. Repeat this process several times.
The so-called "one inch long tendon prolongs life by ten years.". When kneeling and bending down, Qi and blood flow down, stretching the muscles in the back and neck, nourishing the muscles and bones, helping to lift liver qi, relieve body fatigue, and increase the liver's detoxification ability.
Practicing this movement more often in daily life is extremely beneficial to our body.
4、 Shake your big toes and soak your feet ten times
There are many ways to stretch the tendons in the feet, but too professional stretching methods are not suitable for ordinary people, especially middle-aged and elderly people.
There are also convenient ways to operate, which are to rub the tendons at the bottom of the foot board, or to tap each other's feet, which is even more convenient and cost-effective than soaking feet in hot water.
When we finish practicing the kneeling posture and rest, don't let your hands be idle. There is a depression on your feet. Sitting and rubbing can elevate your body's Qi and blood to a higher level, and also nourish the kidney meridian.
The sunken area of this foot is the Yongquan acupoint of longevity. It is best to use a certain amount of force to knead it inside, so as to touch a relatively thick and tight tendon.
There is no requirement for the amount of kneading, it is based on fever and comfortable meridians. Pushing with fingertips, kneading, pressing, and rubbing with fingers are all possible, as well as pounding. The heel and three jiao meridians pass through, and all of these need to be tapped.
Friends with less strength can also use tools to exert force and pat;
Alternatively, it could be a rolling pin or marker, which is cylindrical in shape and can be used to poke anything that doesn't prick the skin. Of course, do not use it too hard, the force should be moderate, and you should feel comfortable.
If your strength is weak, you can't find the acupoints, and there is no external force to rely on, you can "sit and shake your toes."
Tapping the toes is a very, very, simple exercise. Simply straighten your legs, press the heels of your feet together, and your big toes will collide with each other.
The larger the angle of tapping, the faster the speed, the better. Starting from 100 per day, it can gradually increase.
