2. Plant morphology
Perennial evergreen herbs. The main stem is upright, about 35 centimeters tall, with edges, and often roots at the branching point; The lateral branches are dense and often branched. The leaves are dark green above and grayish green below, dimorphic, dense, with two rows of middle leaves, rectangular in shape, keel shaped, with short spikes and fine teeth at the edges, alternating and pointing towards the top of the branches; Two rows of lateral leaves, ovate rectangular circular, blunt headed, with micro teeth on the upper edge and a complete lower edge, extending diagonally to both sides of the branch. Spore sac grows at the top of the branch, often with 2 spikes and a quadrilateral shape; Spore leaves are ovoid triangular in shape, with gradually pointed tips and fine teeth on the edges. They are arranged in a 4-row, alternating tile like arrangement; The spore sac is round.
3. Origin distribution
Born on acidic soil under dense forests. Mainly produced in the southwestern and southeastern regions of China.

5. Characteristics of medicinal herbs

The lower stem is prostrate, slightly flattened, with angular lines, often bearing slender roots at nodes, and the root tip is often whisker shaped. The lower leaves of the main shaft are attached or sometimes detached; The upper part is multi branched, with deep yellow green leaves above and light gray yellow green leaves below, dimorphic, with two rows on the back and abdomen, and obvious main ribs; The lateral lobe (dorsal lobe) is oval shaped and round in shape, with a blunt tip and asymmetric sides. Has a good inhibitory effect on mouse sarcoma-180; Although the inhibitory effect on experimental liver cancer is not significant, it can significantly prolong the survival days of animals; The therapeutic effect on improving symptoms of silicosis, preventing and delaying disease progression is equivalent to that of quetiapine, with minimal side effects.
