The Sanjian acupoint originates from the "Lingshu Benshu" and is also known as Shaogu. Gap, this acupoint is located at the posterior depression of the second metacarpophalangeal joint of the hand, and is the third acupoint of the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian, hence its name.
[Meridian Orientation]
Meridian return: Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian
Positioning: Slightly clench the fist, on the radial side of the index finger, at the depression behind the second metacarpophalangeal joint, which is the area between the red and white flesh.
【 Functional Indications 】
Function: Qingxie Yangming, Tongdiao Fuqi, Tongjing Huoluo
Indications: Body heat headache, sore throat, dry mouth and teeth pain, nosebleeds and eye pain; Chest tightness, wheezing, bloating, and bowel sounds, as well as diarrhea and dysentery; Shoulder and arm pain, upper limb paralysis; Swelling and pain in the fingers and back of the hand, and poor finger flexion and extension. Tonsillitis, toothache, trigeminal neuralgia, acute conjunctivitis, glaucoma, finger swelling and pain, shoulder periarthritis, etc.
Clinical application
1: Gut ringing and diarrhea: Sanjian, Shenque, and Shuishui (Shenying Jing).
2: The next piece of toothache: Sanjian, Chengjiang, Buccal Cart, Hegu, Lieque (acupuncture and moxibustion Fengyuan).
3: Throat blockage, throat choking: Sanjian, Yangxi ("Essential Prescription for Urgent Qian Jin").
4: Head heat and nose bleeding: San Jian, Zhong Guan, Pian Li, Li Dui, Cheng Jin, Jing Gu, Kunlun, Cheng Shan, Fei Yang, Yin Bai ("Bei Ji Qian Jin Yao Fang").
5: Dry mouth: Sanjian, Shaoze, Taichong (acupuncture and moxibustion Zisheng Sutra).
6: Eye urgency and pain: Sanjian, Qiangu (recorded in Shengji Zonglu).
7: Typhoid fever: Sanjian, Quchi, Hegu, Guanchong, Shaochong, Weizhong, Taixi, Jianshi (Yang Jingzhai's Complete Book of acupuncture and moxibustion).
8: Chest full: San Jian, Jing Qu, Yang Xi, Hou Xi, Jian Shi, Yang Ling, San Li, Qu Quan, Zu Lin Qi (Shen Ying Jing).
9: Breathing: San Jian, Shang Yang (according to the "Shen Ying Jing").
