Vaginitis is a common and frequently occurring disease in gynecological clinical practice. Common types include trichomonas vaginitis, fungal vaginitis, and senile vaginitis. Clinically, it is characterized by changes in the quantity, color, and quality of vaginal discharge and itching. It belongs to the category of "yin itching" and "dai xia" in traditional Chinese medicine. Its onset is often caused by insufficient kidney qi, deficiency of the lower element, or long-term physical weakness, deficiency of essence and blood, loss of meridians, unstable Ren meridians, and spleen deficiency. Traditional Chinese medicine treats vaginitis with both oral and external treatment.
01 Three Yellow Powder for Treating Vaginitis
[Formula] 60 grams each of Huanglian, Huangqin, Huangbai, and Zicao roots, 120 grams each of dried alum and dehydrated borax, and 2 grams of borneol.
[Instructions] First, dry and grind the roots of Huanglian, Huangqin, Huangbai, and Zicao, and sieve them through a 120 mesh sieve. Grind the alum into powder and sieve it, then place borax in an iron pot to dry and remove water before sieving. Bottle and seal for later use. When using, first empty the urine, use a speculum to dilate the vagina, and rinse the vagina and external genitalia with 0.1% potassium permanganate solution. Wipe the vagina and vulva dry, use a medicine spoon to take 2 grams of Sanhuang powder, spread it inside the vagina, and then dip a cotton swab in the powder and spread it on the vaginal opening, labia minora folds, and labia minora grooves. Treat once a day, with 5-7 days as one course of treatment.
[Effect] Treat a total of 380 cases of fungal and trichomonas vaginitis. Result: There were 345 cases of fungal vaginitis, of which 276 cases were cured (disappearance of phlegm and itching symptoms in the genital area, reduction of vaginal discharge, disappearance of vaginal mucosal redness and swelling, and disappearance of toxic bacteria or trichomonas detected by secretion microscopy), and 69 cases improved (disappearance of phlegm and itching symptoms in the genital area, reduction of vaginal discharge, disappearance of vaginal mucosal redness and swelling, and slight detection of mold or trichomonas detected by secretion microscopy). 35 cases of trichomonas vaginitis were cured after treatment. [Verification] Wang X, female, 24 years old. Chief complaint: Multiple vaginal discharge, yellow color and foul odor, itching in the external genitalia and vagina. Examination: Diffuse congestion in the vagina and uterus. White discharge microscopy: positive for trichomonas, with pus globules (+++). First, rinse the vagina with 0.1% potassium permanganate. Take 0.5 grams of penicillin powder and apply it to the vagina once a day for 6 consecutive days without reducing symptoms. After stopping medication for one week, check for vaginal discharge, positive for trichomonas, and pus globules (+++). After rinsing, use 1 gram of Sanhuang powder to spread in the vagina. Apply the medication 4 times, and the vaginal discharge decreases significantly. The itching stops, and the color of the vaginal mucosa and cervix returns to normal. After 8 doses of medication, the vaginal discharge returns to normal. Stop the medication for 4 days and check for no trichomonas in the discharge. The pus ball disappears.
02 Liu Shen Wan for external treatment of trichomonas vaginitis
[Prescription] This pill is a traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations and is available in pharmacies.
[Instructions] Before lying down, the patient should clean the external genitalia with clean boiled water. After going to bed, the patient should lie on their back and take 15 pills of Liu Shen Wan, which should be inserted into the vagina once a night. The medication should be discontinued during menstruation. A 6-day course of treatment is usually completed within 2 courses of treatment.
[Effect] It is effective in treating vaginitis.
[Verification] Zhang XX, 38 years old, teacher, diagnosed on October 2, 1986. Married for 12 years, had 2 children, and underwent female circumcision 5 years ago. In recent years, there has been a feeling of pain and burning in the vagina, as well as itching in the external genitalia; There are many leucorrhea, in the shape of foam, with a fishy smell. According to the gynecological examination of the county hospital, it was diagnosed as trichomonas vaginitis. Both oral and oral administration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine have been ineffective. Prescription: Take 6 pills of Liushen Pills in a pack of 30 pills, and treat them in batches according to the above method. Apply continuously for 12 days, relieve yin and itching, and stop with the lower part. After 2 years of follow-up, no recurrence was observed.
03 Ghost Needle Grass Lotion for Treating Vaginitis
[Formula] 60 grams of fresh whole Houttuynia cordata and 60 grams of whole snake soaked tendon.
[Instructions] Boil in water until fragrant, pour the medicine into a basin, and soak in the basin while it is hot. Wash the vaginal secretions while soaking.
[Efficacy] A total of 20 cases were treated, including 7 cases of fungal vaginitis, 3 cases of trichomonas vaginitis, and 10 cases of vulvar itching and vulvitis. The longest course of the disease was 11 years, and the shortest was 3 days. All cases were cured without any side effects. Individual cases with cervical erosion of I-2 degrees have also improved or been cured after treatment. Early onset, short course of disease, and timely treatment have better therapeutic effects. Generally, after one dose of medication, spasms and itching are reduced. After three doses of medication, the itching is completely eliminated, and one course of treatment lasts for 10 days. Vulvitis has good therapeutic effects, taking effect within 3 days, while fungal and trichomonas vaginitis have longer treatment courses, requiring 1-2 courses to cure.
[Verification] Fu X, female, 26 years old, unmarried, worker. First diagnosis on May 27, 1986. External genital itching accompanied by tofu residue like vaginal discharge for more than 2 years. Yeast was detected at XX People's Hospital, and the symptoms temporarily improved after treatment, but they often recur with unbearable phlegm and itching, affecting work. Yellowish complexion, pale tongue, greasy coating, and veins. Gynecological examination: The development of the external genitalia is normal, and there is a white film like secretion covering the vaginal opening, which is not easy to fall off when wiped (not double checked). Yeast was detected in the secretion laboratory, and it was diagnosed as fungal vaginitis. The traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis is Yin and Itchy (Damp Heat Pouring Down). After treatment with our formula, the itching decreased after one session, and after three sessions, the itching completely disappeared and the vaginal discharge decreased. After one week of gynecological examination, the white membrane like secretions from the external genitalia and vaginal opening disappeared, the vaginal discharge significantly decreased, and the phlegm and itching completely disappeared. 04 Qumo Zi Mu Fang for the treatment of fungal vaginitis
Fungal vaginitis, also known as candidal vaginitis, is a type of inflammation in women characterized by vaginal itching and flaky discharge. The main cause is due to increased glycogen and acidity in the vagina, as well as active reproduction of latent Candida albicans.
[Formula] Mother formula -6 grams of Chaihu, 6 grams of Gentiana, 6 grams of Sophora flavescens, 6 grams of Phellodendron amurense, 3 grams of Huanglian, 30 grams of raw ground, 30 grams of Chinese yam, 10 grams of Plantago asiatica (wrapped in cloth), 10 grams of Shanzhiyi, 10 grams of Danpi, 10 grams of Angelica sinensis, 10 grams of stir fried Atractylodes macrocephala, 10 grams of bone seeking wind, 10 grams of Poria cocos, 6 grams of stir fried Atractylodes macrocephala (wrapped in cloth), 6 grams of Fangfeng, 10 grams of Hibiscus bark, 10 grams of fresh white bark, and 6 grams of Artemisia argyi leaves. Zifang -3 grams of borax, 3 grams of borneol, 20 grams of alum, 30 grams of frankincense, 30 grams of Hai'er tea, 5 grams of realgar, 5 grams of indigo, 10 grams of calamine, 40 grams of hibiscus skin, and 40 grams of fresh white skin.
[Instructions] Take one dose of the mother's formula daily, decoct in water three times and divide into three doses. One course of treatment is 30 doses; Afterwards, take 10 doses every month, with 60 doses as one course of treatment. For external use, grind the fine powder into a paste by mixing it with 1:500 caustic soda water or 5% sodium bicarbonate solution. First, clean the vagina with a 1:1000 New Jie Er Mie cotton ball, then dip a cotton ball or gauze block with thread into the medicine paste and insert it into the deep part of the vagina before going to bed at night. Remove it the next morning. Use continuously for 7 times, and then use again every 3 days, so 21 times is one course of treatment. Afterwards, use the method again every month for 7 consecutive times, for a total of 21 times for six months. If our formula is not effective at the moment, we can replace it with ice boron bulk human hollow capsules, each containing 0.2-0.3 grams of medicine, 3 capsules per time as before.

Obstetrics and gynecology examination diagnosed candidal vaginitis. Medicated vaginal irrigation, cotton swab insertion, and oral administration of nystatin were performed, and the symptoms were relieved for a period of time, but remained the same afterwards. In recent months, I have been experiencing dizziness, lack of sleep, and frequent dreams, with a indifferent expression. My menstrual cycle has been delayed. Examination: dull complexion, well proportioned body, fine and astringent veins, white coating and pale red tongue, poor bowel movements, short and astringent urine. Due to discomfort caused by the contraceptive ring, I took medication to prevent pregnancy for my second child. Gynecological consultation, check if there is a white membrane like secretion covering the surface of the external genitalia, rub it, and the mucosa becomes congested, swollen, and eroded; Urine examination showed no abnormalities, and vaginal secretions were positive for Candida hyphae and spores using the suspension method. Please advise them not to use hot water for washing or hand rubbing, avoid eating spicy and stimulating foods, and continue with the original recipe. The mother took a total of more than 40 doses of Mao medicine, while the son took more than 40 doses. After about a year of treatment and two years of follow-up, the patient was finally cured without recurrence.
05 Dilution suppository for treating vaginitis
[Formula] 1 gram of realgar, 2 grams of raw tobacco, a little alum, and 60 grams of fresh pig liver.
[Instructions] First, grind the three medicines including realgar into fine powder, then cut the pig liver into triangles, pierce some small holes on the liver with a sewing needle, and sprinkle the medicine powder into the small holes. Insert it into the vagina at night, remove it in the morning, and rinse the vagina with potassium permanganate solution (l/5000).
[Effect] Detoxification, dampness drying, insecticidal.
[Verification] Generally, it can be cured after 4-7 days of continuous use.

06 Prescription for Treating Trichomonas Vaginis
[Formula] 15 grams of Huangbai, 10 grams of dried alum, 10 grams of realgar each, 5 grams of light powder, and 5 grams of borneol each.
[Instructions] Use a fine powder on top, mix 60 grams of Vaseline to make an ointment, and set aside for later use. First, use 100 grams of fresh large green leaves, 50 grams of snake bed seeds, 50 grams of ground bone bark, and 50 grams of Wuling fat each. After rinsing the vagina with boiling water (once in the morning and once in the evening), apply this cream to the affected area. Once a day.
[Effect] Detoxification, dampness drying, insecticidal.
After treatment for 10 cases and several days of medication, all recovered.

07 Garlic for Treating Yin Itch
[Formula] 2 cloves.
[Instructions] Peel and crush garlic, then add water to make soup. Wash locally 2 or 3 times a day.
[Effect] Sterilization, anti-inflammatory, and itching relief. Used to treat itching and trichomoniasis in women.
08 Pig Liver Whiplash for Treating Yin Itch
[Formula] 60 grams of pig liver and 30 grams of verbena.
[Instructions] Cut pig liver and horsewhip into small pieces and mix well. Cover with a lid and steam in a steamer for half an hour before serving. Once served.
[Effect] Clear heat, dispel dampness, and detoxify. Used to treat women's itching, excessive vaginal discharge, amenorrhea, and amenorrhea.
09 White Radish with Vinegar for Treating Trichomonas Vaginitis
[Formula] Acetic acid, big white radish.
[Instructions] Rinse the affected area with acetic acid, then use white radish juice to scrub and fill the vagina.
[Effect] Promote blood circulation and detoxify. Treat trichomonas vaginitis.
10 Green Radishes for Treating Trichomonas Vaginitis
[Formula] One green radish.
[Instructions] Wash the green radish, mash it into a paste, wrap two tablespoons of green radish paste in sterilized gauze, make a gauze roll, and leave a long line at one end of the roll. Then use your hand to insert the coil into the vagina, leaving the thread outside the vaginal opening for easy removal. Before releasing someone, it is necessary to wash the secretions inside and outside the vagina with potassium permanganate solution to prevent infection. Take out after 1 hour in autumn and 4-10 hours in winter, once a day.

The above four methods have been clinically validated to have significant therapeutic effects and can be promoted and applied.
11 Fresh Peach Tree Leaves for Treating Yin Itching
30g fresh peach leaves and 25g grey quinoa.
[Instructions] Boil 1000 milliliters of water and the above two ingredients for 20 minutes. Wait a little warm and rinse the vagina with this liquid. One or two times a day for one week is considered as one course of treatment.
[Effect] Kill trichomonas and relieve itching. Treat trichomonas vaginitis.
[Verification] Zhang XX, female, 29 years old, suffers from trichomonas vaginitis and has been cured through upper treatment.
