The name Chengshan refers to the solidification of spleen soil particles that flow down the bladder meridian through water. The substance in this acupoint is a mixture of spleen soil and water that flows upward along the bladder meridian. After reaching this acupoint, the water evaporates and the dried spleen soil particles settle around the acupoint. The settled spleen soil accumulates like a mountain, hence the name Chengshan.
