01 Gui Shao Lai Shu Tang for the treatment of intestinal diseases
[Formula] 120 grams of Angelica sinensis, 60 grams of Paeonia lactiflora, 10 grams each of licorice, betel nut, Fructus Aurantii, and Plantago asiatica, and 30 grams of Semen Raphani.
[Instructions] Boil in water and take orally.
[Effect] Nourish yin and clear heat, invigorate spleen and eliminate dampness, soothe liver and regulate qi, promote blood circulation and relieve pain.
[Verification] Case 1: Worker X, male, 34 years old, farmer, first diagnosed on August 5, 1950. Suffering from diarrhea and dysentery for 4 years, recurring every summer and autumn, but ineffective after treatment. Symptoms: Diarrhea with a paste like stool, with a foul odor and a reddish brown bean paste like appearance at times, accompanied by a small amount of pus and blood. It is urgent and then severe, occurring twice a day and night, with dull pain around the navel and lower left abdomen. The tongue is red and the coating is light yellow, and the pulse is deep and smooth. Fecal examination revealed red blood cells (+++) and pus cells (++), and the presence of amoeboids: trophozoites. Fang Yu Gui Shao Lai Lv Tang Ma Jia Lan 30g, mixed with 3g of Brucea Javanica, wrapped in Guiyuan meat into capsules, and taken with medicinal solution. All 9 doses eliminate various ailments. Mix the original method with Xiangsha Liujunzi Pills to cure the condition. Follow up for 9 years has shown no recurrence, and multiple stool routine tests have been normal. Case 2: Huang X, female, 32 years old, worker, first diagnosed on June 2, 1979. She reported that in early May 1976, she suffered from abdominal pain due to ingestion of unclean substances, with urgency and severe symptoms. Her stool was red, white, and sticky, and had been itchy around the anus and external genitalia 3 or 4 times during the day. Despite repeated treatment with anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, and detoxifying methods for 3 years, the efficacy was poor and the condition did not improve significantly. Stool tests have tested positive for mold multiple times. Symptoms: emaciated body, dizziness and vertigo, dry mouth, morning bitterness, white tongue coating, deep and fine veins. I plan to take 10 grams each of Huanglian, Jingjie, Aiye Charcoal, and Guanzhong decoction of Shao Lai Shu Tang. After taking 2 doses in a row, my abdominal pain has been relieved and all other symptoms are mild. The medicine has shown signs of effectiveness. Seize the opportunity to drive away the disease and continue taking the upper dose to clear the symptoms and cure the illness. There has been no recurrence since follow-up.

This formula has significant therapeutic effects on chronic amoebic dysentery, fungal enteritis, intestinal sclerosis, schistosomiasis with proctitis, chronic non-specific ulcerative colitis, trichomonas enteritis, etc.
02 Kushen liquid enema for the treatment of chronic colitis
[Formula] 30g Sophora flavescens.
[Instructions] Add 500ml of Sophora flavescens to water, simmer over low heat until 80-100ml, and keep an enema before bedtime every night. The depth of enema should be determined based on the depth of the lesion area detected by colonoscopy. If the area is relatively high, the buttocks should be raised after infusion to facilitate the flow of medication. After taking the medication, go to sleep to prevent it from flowing out, and defecate the next day. During enema, avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, and greasy foods. 7 days is one course of treatment, rest for 2 days before the second course.
[Efficacy] The author used this method to treat one case of chronic colitis. 6 cases recovered after 3-4 treatment courses; Reduced frequency of bowel movements, decreased mucus, and disappearance of abdominal pain in 3 cases; One case of recurrence was caused by non dietary restrictions and improper diet.
[Verification] Pan XX, female, 38 years old, farmer, has been suffering from chronic colitis for 8 years. She often experiences diarrhea and abdominal pain day and night, especially at night. Regardless of spring, summer, autumn, or winter, the patient is in unbearable pain, with obvious weight loss, fatigue, and pale complexion. Taking traditional Chinese and Western medicine is ineffective. After receiving this formula, I applied it as usual for 2 consecutive courses, and surprisingly, my abdomen did not hurt and my stool formed and healed.
03 Zhixie San for treating enteritis
[Formula] 6 pieces of white pepper, 1 gram each of dried ginger, stir fried realgar powder, cinnamon, and wuzhuyu.
[Instructions] Grind the medicine into fine powder and set aside for later use. Dip the degreased cotton swab in medicine powder, apply it to the navel hole, cover it with gauze, and fix it with adhesive tape. Change the dressing once a day.
[Effect] Warm, dispel cold, and stop diarrhea.
[Verification] The effect is very good, usually filled in the morning and can stop diarrhea in the afternoon.
[Note] Quoted from "Essentials of Foreign Exchange Management". Use appropriate amounts of scallions, ginger, and Huangdan, mash them into a paste, and apply them to the navel, 1 or 2 times a day, and 3 or 4 times a day. It is effective in treating various types of diarrhea.
04 Erxiang Powder for Treating Enteritis
[Formula] clove, wood fragrance, cinnamon, wuzhuyu, mint, etc.
[Instructions] Grind the medicine into fine powder and seal it for later use. When using, take 10 grams of medicine powder and mix it with ginger juice and wine. Mix it into a paste, stir fry it, and apply it separately to the acupoints (Tian Shu, Zu San Li, Pi Yu,; Zhong Yuan, Ming Men, Guan Yuan. Choose two acupoints each time. For acute diarrhea, Tian Shu and Zu San Li are the main acupoints; for chronic diarrhea, Pi Yu and Zhong Yuan are the main acupoints; for kidney deficiency diarrhea, Ming Men and Guan Yuan are the main acupoints. For diarrhea accompanied by nausea and vomiting, Nei Guan acupoint is used. For severe water diarrhea, Yin Ling Quan acupoint is used). Cover it with gauze and fix it with tape. Change the dressing once a day.
[Effect] Relieve cold, regulate qi, and stop diarrhea.
[Verification] It has good efficacy after repeated use, usually stopping after 1-3 doses of medication.
05 Wild Chrysanthemum Decoction for Treating Enteritis
[Formula] Wild Chrysanthemum 10-30g
If there is pus or blood in the stool, add 5-15g of tea (green tea) and fry together.
[Instructions] Boil the soup to remove residue, prepare 100-300ml of decoction, wait for the temperature to reach 38-40 ℃, empty the stool, insert a rubber tube about 20cm, keep the enema, once before going to bed every night, preferably for more than 4 hours, and continuously administer for 2 weeks as one course of treatment.
[Effect] Patients with chronic enteritis, intestinal dysfunction, persistent damp heat retention, persistent chronic diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mucous in stool.
[Verification] Lu, male, 60 years old. Date of visit: March 10, 1975. The patient has abdominal pain and diarrhea, which occur and stop at different times, and has been hospitalized for 5-6 years. The diagnosis was chronic enteritis. Recently, the presence of mucus in the stool has worsened, 4-5 times a day. Taking berberine was ineffective, and upper enema treatment was given. After one course of treatment, the abdominal pain was relieved, the stool formed, and once a day, the mucus disappeared and healed.
[Note] Wild chrysanthemum can clear heat and detoxify, and its tea flavor can astringent and stop diarrhea. The efficacy of diarrhea caused by spleen and kidney deficiency is not satisfactory.
