[Formula] 12 grams each of Angelica sinensis, Chuanxiong, Leonurus japonicus, Zelan, and Cang'er Zi.

[Effect] Promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, and unblock collaterals.
[Verification] Liu XX, female, 27 years old, diagnosed on January 10, 1988. I have reported that due to my deceased husband's depressed mood, coupled with breastfeeding and overwork, my right breast began to swell and ache yesterday. I also have chills and fever, and I came to our hospital for treatment due to allergies to intramuscular injections of penicillin and streptozotocin. Clear vision, pale red tongue, thin yellow coating, and a slight number of pulse strings; Body temperature 37.4 ℃; There is a 5x6cm lump in the right breast, with obvious tenderness and no fluctuation. Diagnosed as breast abscess. Administer the original prescription, take 6 doses successively, and all symptoms disappear and heal.
[Note] This is an ancestral verification formula. Breast abscess is often caused by stagnation of Jueyin qi and Yangming stomach heat. Its pathogenesis is characterized by stagnation of qi and blood, poor milk circulation, and milk stasis. This formula has the function of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, and unblocking collaterals. It is used to treat patients with breast abscess who have not yet developed pus.
07 Sand Seed Nasal Insertion Method for Treating Mastitis
[Formula] 10-20 grams of sand kernels.
Grind the sand kernels into fine powder and store them in a bottle for later use. When using, mix a small amount of glutinous rice with crushed sand kernels, knead them into strips the size of peanuts, and wrap them with disinfectant gauze (must be cotton fabric) to cover the nose. Left mastitis can be plugged into the right nose, right mastitis can be plugged into the left nose, or alternatively plugged left and right. Replace every 12 hours until the inflammation disappears.
[Effect] It has good efficacy in treating mastitis.
[Verification] A total of 50 cases were treated, all of whom were postpartum lactating women. Among them, there were 33 primiparous women and 17 multiparous women. 20 cases had a course of 1-3 days, 15 cases had a course of 4-7 days, and 15 cases had a course of 8-16 days, with an average of 5 days. There were 40 cases of unilateral onset and 10 cases of bilateral onset. Among the 50 cases, except for 10 cases treated with traditional Chinese medicine for clearing heat and detoxifying orally, the rest were treated with this method. All 50 cases were cured. Early formation of a small amount of pus can also disappear on its own.
08 Mud Loach and Potato External Application for Treating Mastitis
[Formula] 1 potato (preferably spot free) and 1 loach (preferably about 10 cm long). The above is a single dose.
[Instructions] Wash the potatoes and mash the loaches in a container until they are sticky to the touch. Take out a small cake (depending on the size of the lesion) and apply it to the affected area once a day, usually twice to achieve results.

[Verification] Zhang XX, female, 27 years old. During the six-month postpartum breastfeeding period, due to busy work, the child was not breastfed in a timely manner, resulting in redness, swelling, and pain in the right breast. The pain worsened when lying on the right side, accompanied by fever (temperature 38.3 ℃). Examination: The appearance of the right breast is red and swollen, with nodules and obvious tenderness. Intramuscular injection of penicillin and streptomycin has been ineffective for 5 days.
