Zhao Hai was first seen in acupuncture and moxibustion and Moxibustion Classics A and B, which belongs to Foot Shaoyin Kidney Channel and is one of the important points of the eight meridians. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that stimulating the Zhaohai acupoint can nourish yin and kidney, clear and benefit the lower burner, clear the heart and concentrate the mind, regulate menstruation and diuresis. It has therapeutic effects on menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, red vaginal discharge, yin stiffness and itching, frequent urination, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hernia, red eye swelling and pain, dry throat pain, constipation, epilepsy and other diseases. In modern clinical practice, it is commonly used to treat nephritis, hypertension, insomnia, chronic pharyngitis, plum blossom qi, heel pain, etc., especially for the five heart restlessness and heat caused by yin deficiency.

Positioning: Located on the inner side of the foot, in the depression below the tip of the medial malleolus.
【 Functions and Indications 】
Subacute tonsillitis, chronic pharyngitis, dry throat, redness, swelling and pain in the eyes and other symptoms of genital fever.
Mental and mental disorders such as neurasthenia, hysteria, epilepsy, insomnia, and fear of unrest;
Gynecological symptoms such as uterine prolapse, menstrual disorders, menstrual pain, red discharge, vaginal prolapse, external genital itching, and frequent urination;
Constipation, hernia, athlete's foot, lower limb paralysis, etc.
Clinical Application
1: Treating throat symptoms by combining missing acupoints, Tiantu acupoints, Taichong acupoints, and Lianquan acupoints;
2: Treating strange insomnia caused by Yin deficiency and excessive fire with the use of Shen Men acupoint, Feng Chi acupoint, and San Yin Jiao acupoint;
3: Combined with the Gu acupoint and the Lie Que acupoint, it has the effect of nourishing yin, clearing heat, and benefiting the throat, and is mainly used for treating sore throat;
4: Paired with Zhongji acupoint and Sanyinjiao acupoint, it has the effect of regulating menstruation, promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, and stopping bleeding. It mainly treats menstrual disorders, menstrual pain, and red discharge.
5: Paired with Shen Shu acupoint, Guan Yuan acupoint, and San Yin Jiao, they are responsible for regulating menstrual irregularities.
6: Insomnia acupuncture can illuminate the sea and Shen meridians, regulate yin and yang, and have good effects.
7. The intercostal neuralgia needle should be used for 1-1.5 inches, and the laxative method has a good effect.
8. Longbi Zhaohai is paired with Qugu. First, needle Zhaohai, then needle Qugu. It is best if the patient has the intention to urinate. For those with deficiency cold, needle Zhaohai is paired with Shenshu and Bladder Shu. After the needle is removed, the patient is allowed to urinate. There are also treatments for urinary obstruction with the use of Zhao Hai and Zhong Ji Tong Guan Yuan.
9. Foot inversion is treated by treating stroke induced hemiplegia with foot inversion using the techniques of Hai Pei Jiao Xin, Gong Sun, Li Gou, and Yang Ling Quan.
