Foot orifice yin is the name of the acupoint (z ú qi à oy ī n). The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon Ling Shu: Ben Shu. The original name of "Huangdi Neijing Lingshu: Ben Shu" was Qiaoyin, and the name of "Zu Qiaoyin" was recorded in "Shengji Zonglu". Belonging to the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian. Zuqiao Yin is the well point of the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, belonging to the metal element of the Five Elements. The foot is the foot, the orifice is the hole orifice, yin is the opposite of yang, and the kidney and liver that open the orifice in the ears and eyes belong to the yin organs. This acupoint is located in the foot and is good at treating ear and eye diseases, hence the name foot orifice yin.
【 Functions and Indications 】
Function: Communicate internal and external meridians, qi and blood. Soothing the liver, relieving depression, and activating meridians and collaterals. The Foot Hole Yin Points have the effects of relieving liver qi, clearing gallbladder fire, and extinguishing wind and heat.
Indications: Foot orifice Yin acupoint is used to treat head, facial features, chest and rib diseases such as headache, dizziness, eye pain, tinnitus, hearing loss, laryngeal obstruction, mouth pain, tongue weakness, tongue bleeding, fever and rib pain, cough and reflux, annoyance, nightmares, hand and foot muscle rotation, elbow not lifting, abscess, etc. In modern times, foot orifice yin points are used to treat intercostal neuralgia, hypertension, pleurisy, mastitis, menstrual disorders, neurasthenia, sequelae of cerebrovascular disease, ankle swelling and pain, conjunctivitis, asthma, etc.
Clinical compatibility
1: The treatment of biliary tract diseases is achieved by combining the Foot Hole Yin acupoint with Yanglingquan acupoint, Qimen acupoint, Zhigou acupoint, and Taichong acupoint;
2: Emergency treatment for stroke and coma at Zuqiao Yin acupoint, Shuigou acupoint, Taichong acupoint, Zhongchong acupoint, Baihui acupoint, and Fengchi acupoint;
3: The combination of Zuoqiao Yin acupoint, Touwei acupoint, and temple has the effect of dispelling wind and relieving pain, and is mainly used for treating migraine.
4: The combination of Zuoqiao Yin acupoint with Tinghui acupoint, Yifeng acupoint, and Waiguan acupoint has the effects of clearing heat, purging fire, promoting meridian circulation, activating collaterals, and improving hearing, relieving and treating tinnitus and deafness.
5: Treating pharyngitis with Shaoshang acupoint and Shangyang acupoint.
Acupuncture and Moxibustion Method
Directly or upward puncture the Yin acupoint of the foot orifice by 0.1-0.2 inches, causing bleeding from the puncture. Moxibustion with moxa sticks at the Yin acupoints of the foot opening is 1-3 strong.
