Zhongdu acupoint belongs to the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, located on the outer side of the thigh, 2 inches below the wind or 5 inches above the popliteal crease, between the lateral thigh muscle and the biceps femoris muscle.
【 Functions and Indications 】
Function: Relieve dampness, unblock meridians, dispel wind and dispel cold. Zhongdu acupoint has the effect of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, dispelling wind and dispelling cold.
Indications: Lower limb paralysis, numbness, hemiplegia, relieving and treating gallstones, cholecystitis, and biliary colic; Hemiplegia, lower limb paralysis, sciatica, beriberi, etc.
Acupoint compatibility
1: Zhongdu acupoint combined with Huantiao acupoint, Fengshi acupoint, Qiyangguan acupoint, Yanglingquan acupoint, and Zusanli acupoint is used to treat post-stroke sequelae, lower limb paralysis, and infantile paralysis.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion Method
Treatment: If it is cold, it can be treated with acupuncture or moxibustion to relieve bleeding. If it is hot, it can be treated with purging needles, exhaling air, or water needles.
Acupuncture method: Directly pierce 1-1.5 inches, causing local soreness and swelling, and the needle sensation can spread downwards.
Moxibustion: Moxibustion with moxa cone or warm acupuncture and moxibustion for 3~5 zhuang and moxibustion with moxa stick for 10~20 minutes.
