Rheumatism and kidney yang deficiency are never unrelated. When kidney yang deficiency occurs, it is like a room not being warm, and doors and windows should be closed to prevent wind. In fact, due to kidney yang deficiency and insufficient external hygiene function of the human body, this door and window cannot be tightly closed and leaks air. So the combination of kidney yang deficiency and rheumatism, such as excessive sweating due to bad wind, facial swelling, lower back and knee pain, and haggard appearance.
Regarding facial swelling. Insufficient kidney yang, insufficient flames, insufficient vaporization of water and dampness in the body, and upward movement of dampness can lead to swollen and haggard complexion.

Kidney yang deficiency results in insufficient energy supply for heart function, leading to uncontrolled circulation of heart fluid. Kidney yang deficiency, poor external defense function, and lack of management of skin pores can all lead to sweat leakage.
Regarding lower back and knee pain. Kidney yang deficiency and decline cannot resist the invasion of rheumatism. Due to the fact that the waist is the organ of the kidneys and the knee is the organ of the tendons, and the liver and kidney are of the same origin, the main tendons and dampness reside in these two parts, causing pain in the waist and knees.

In a friend's prescription, I saw Wu Zhuyu and Shan Zhuyu used together. The friend had poor lung function and poor sleep. The prescription also included Dai Zhe Shi, which was used to calm the nerves and treat insomnia. After using it, the friend's sleep condition improved. In fact, the combination of Cornus officinalis and Cornus officinalis can already treat insomnia caused by liver problems such as upper heat and lower cold. The method is to take Cornus officinalis orally and apply it to the feet when falling asleep at night.
In addition, the combination of the two ingredients can also treat liver and kidney deficiency, waist and knee pain caused by wind and gas attacks, and even uterine prolapse.
