【 Functions and Indications 】
Function: Clearing heat and detoxifying, dispelling dampness and itching, diuresis and reducing swelling, regulating qi and promoting digestion.
Indications: Roots and stems: Clearing heat and relieving cough, resolving phlegm and stopping malaria. Used for bronchitis, malaria, hepatitis. Ye: Dampening and intercepting malaria. Used for colds, enteritis, dysentery, malaria, urinary tract infections; Topical treatment for eczema, dermatitis, and athlete's foot, with decoction for external washing. Fruit: Relieve cough and asthma, regulate qi and relieve pain. Used for cough, asthma, stomach pain, indigestion, enteritis, dysentery. Fresh leaves: Mash and apply, treat insect and snake bites, and eliminate mosquitoes. Fresh whole plant: eliminate maggots.
Clinical Application
1: Tinea pedis: 250 grams of fresh boxwood leaves and pine leaves each, boiled in water and soaked in feet.
2: Take 15 grams each of Huangjing, Huangpi leaves, and Su leaves for cold and flu, and decoct in water.
3: Cold and damp enteritis, dysentery: 15 grams of Huangjing and Bicheng eggplant each, decoct in water and take orally.
4: Wind cold dampness joint pain: 15 grams each of Huangjing, Basil, Schisandra chinensis, and Ciwujia skin, 10 grams of ground buffalo, boiled in water, and mixed with an appropriate amount of Huangjiu.
5: Stomach regurgitation and gastric bleeding: 50g of Polygonatum sibiricum, 30g of Xianhe grass, 1 mother hen. Usage: First, remove the head, feet, and internal organs of the mother hen. Then wash the two herbs, stuff them into the hen's belly, add some water and stew until tender, and remove any residue. Eat in portions
6: Bites from domestic dogs and centipedes: 56 grams of Huangjing leaves and 30 grams of fresh peach leaves. Usage: Mash the two herbs together and apply to the affected area.
7: Itching skin, athlete's foot, urticaria, tinea pedis: 112g fresh Polygonatum sibiricum leaves Usage: Boil in water, fumigate or soak the affected area
8: Asthma: 11 grams of Huangjingzi, 15 grams of Eucalyptus grandiflorus leaves, 3 grams of white quartz, 11 grams of Ganoderma lucidum, and 18 grams of fresh sunflower inflorescence. Usage: Boil in water twice, take once in the morning and once in the evening
9: Lymphatic vasculitis: 30g Huangjing leaves, 30g Qinghao (Artemisia annua), 15g Weilingxian, 18g Jiegu root bark (Ilex genus), 18g Baijiang grass Usage: Boil in 5 bowls of water and 2 bowls, take once in the morning and once in the evening. Take an appropriate amount of fresh half stem lotus, add a little salt, crush it, and apply it externally to the affected area
10: Abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting: 15g Huangjingzi, 9g Qingmuxiang (finely cut), and 11g Xiangzuo. Usage: Put the three herbs into a cup, soak in boiling water and take
11: Damp phlegm cough: 15 grams of Huangjingzi, 11 grams of Banxia, 7 grams of Chenpi, 3 slices of ginger, 7 grams of winter flower, and 7 grams of Schisandra chinensis. Usage: Fry in 3 bowls of water, 1 bowl, for the second time, fry in 2 and a half bowls of water, 3 grams, take once in the morning and once after dinner.
12: Prevention of enteritis, dysentery, and heatstroke: Take an appropriate amount of tender leaves of Huangjing (sun dried). Usage: Use 3-11 grams per day, brew with boiling water, and use as a tea drink.
13: Cold wheezing: 30g (dried) Huangjingzi finely ground. Usage: Take 5g each time with boiling water. Three times a day. It has a relieving effect on symptoms.
14: Chronic tracheitis: 15g Huangjingzi, 11g Wuye, 15g Dandelion, 7g Chenpi, 18g Cotton Root Usage: Boil in water twice, take once in the morning and once in the evening. Take for one week.
