The following are some methods of Tonic Diet diet to reduce blood pressure:
1、 Celery Congee
1. Ingredients: 120g celery root and 250g glutinous rice.
2. Method:
-Wash the celery and cut it into six minute sections.
-Clean the glutinous rice thoroughly.
-Put celery and japonica rice into the pot, add some water, boil them with fire and then simmer them gently until the rice is rotten into Congee.
3. Effect: Calm the liver, clear heat, dispel wind and dampness. Suitable for conditions such as hypertension, dizziness, headache, facial flushing, bloody gonorrhea, and abscess.
2、 Carrot Congee
1. Ingredients: Fresh carrots and glutinous rice in moderation.
2. Method:
-Wash and chop the carrots.
-Put the rice and rice into the pot, add some water, and cook until the rice is boiled and Congee is thick.
3. Effect: Strengthen the spleen and stomach, lower qi stagnation, improve vision, lower blood pressure and diuresis. Suitable for hypertension, indigestion, chronic dysentery, night blindness, pediatric osteomalacia, malnutrition, etc.
3、 Hawthorn Albizia Congee
1. Ingredients: 15 grams of raw hawthorn, 30 grams of fresh acacia flowers (50 grams), 60 grams of glutinous rice, and an appropriate amount of white sugar.
2. Method:
-Boil hawthorn and acacia flowers together in water, leaving the juice and removing the residue.
-Add rice to cook Congee, and Congee is cooked with sugar.
3. Effect: Relieve depression and calm the mind, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Suitable for patients with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and insomnia.
4、 Cassia seed Congee
1. Ingredients: 10-15 grams of cassia seeds, 50 grams of glutinous rice, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar.
2. Method:
-First, put the cassia seeds into the pot and stir fry until they have a slight aroma. Remove them and wait for them to cool before frying the sauce.
-Remove the dregs and extract the juice. Add the rice and cook Congee.
-When the Congee is about to be cooked, add rock sugar and boil it for one or two times before eating.
3. Effect: Clears the liver, improves vision, and promotes bowel movements. Suitable for hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and habitual constipation.
5、 Chrysanthemum Congee
1. Ingredients: 15g chrysanthemum powder, 100g glutinous rice.
2. Method:
-Remove the stems from chrysanthemums, steam them in a cage, take them out and dry them in the sun or shade, then grind them into fine powder and set aside.
-Clean the japonica rice and put it into the pot, add some water, boil it in the fire, then turn to the slow fire to cook it until it is half mature, and then add the fine chrysanthemum powder, and continue to cook it in the slow fire until the rice is rotten into Congee.
3. Effect: Dispels wind heat, clears liver fire, and lowers blood pressure. Suitable for conditions such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, liver fire headache, dizziness, and blurred vision.
