Therefore, if the yang is strong, it cannot be dense; if the yin is calm and the yang is secret, the spirit will be cured; if the yin and yang are separated, the essence and qi will be eliminated. "-" Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon, Su Wen, Qi Tong Tian Lun Chapter 3 "
Many people are particularly concerned about how to treat and recuperate after listening to my lecture? Most traditional Chinese medicine uses the method of nourishing the kidneys and nourishing essence to treat, through the method of tonifying the kidneys. This is just about the medication. We often say it's' three parts cure, seven parts nourish '. Doctors can take effect, medicine can take effect in three parts, and 70% of it depends on self-care. How was it raised? As long as everyone remembers one principle, they can nourish their kidneys well, and that is quietness. Quietness means learning to relax anytime, anywhere, and having a state of relaxation, rest, and tranquility. Whether it's the brain or the body, we need to let it relax. Once relaxed, our breathing will become slow and calm, and our physical and mental state will become peaceful. As long as our body and mind are at peace, yang energy, yin energy, and yin essence will automatically recover. This is a self repairing function of our body, which is an ability endowed by nature to humans.
However, the problem now is that many people don't rest, even at night. I am also excited during the day, thinking about things all day long and only looking at my phone when I have nothing to do. As a result, my brain cannot rest. Because the brain is connected with the kidney, the traditional Chinese medicine has a saying that the brain is connected with the essence. Once the brain does not rest, it always extracts the essence from the kidney and is consumed. Therefore, I ask my patients to first ensure sleep, and must sleep before 10 o'clock every night, and sleep for eight hours. People with particularly weak kidney qi need to sleep for ten hours, even eleven or twelve hours.
We can observe that people with kidney deficiency are tired all day long, unable to rest. Why can't you rest? It's because at midnight, he usually doesn't sleep and doesn't use the natural power of heaven and earth to restore his body. He doesn't have this consciousness. He can't rest his body, he's always tired all day long, always sleepy, always tired. This state forms a vicious cycle, and the kidney qi will gradually decline and become weak. We see that many young people who have frequent sexual activity tend to sleep in very late the next day, which is a process of self repair in the body. When the kidney qi is deficient, the body's ability to self repair is poor. Then sleep more and slowly nourish the kidney qi. But the problem is that many people nowadays don't sleep or stay up late, or don't sleep before 10 o'clock, staying up until 11 or 12 o'clock, or even staying up until one or two o'clock. In this way, it is difficult for the kidney essence to recover. So in clinical practice, I require my patients to achieve this goal so that their kidney qi can slowly recover by half. They should also maintain a calm mood, avoiding ups and downs, irritability, anger, anxiety, resentment, and so on. After these negative emotions disappear and their mood can be calm, they are more likely to enter a state of "tranquility and emptiness". Only in this way can qi, blood, yin, and yang merge and be calm. This is the second point, which is to ensure a comfortable and peaceful mood.
The third point is that the diet should not be too stimulating. Cold can damage the stomach and yang energy, while spicy can consume yin energy. These particularly stimulating foods should not be eaten, and both cold and spicy foods should not be consumed. At the same time, it is important to avoid watching videos, images, and text that can easily arouse desire. At the same time, play less mobile phone and watch less TV. In short, it's about using your brain and eyes less, letting them both calm down and rest. Once they both rest, your brain is more likely to calm down. The kidney and brain that I just talked about are interconnected. Once the brain is quiet, it does not consume kidney qi, and it will gradually recover and become stronger. So, keeping quiet is the most important thing in this process. I have treated many patients with sperm injuries in clinical practice, and have advised them to rest early every day, avoid using computers and phones, and maintain a calm mood. If you have time at the same time, why is walking good? Because there are six meridians on the legs, when these meridians are activated, it can improve blood circulation in the lower limbs and also calm the brain, which is called 'upper deficiency and lower solidity'. In this way, it helps with sleep, recovery, and the balance and recovery of body and mind yin and yang. So, make sure to do these four things well.
Let me repeat, firstly, you must go to bed before 10 o'clock, and secondly, maintain a calm mood and avoid any negative emotions. Thirdly, one should avoid eating overly stimulating foods, such as cold and spicy ones. The fourth is to maintain the good habit of taking a walk every day, at least for one or two hours. Accumulated time does not refer to two hours in one breath, but to a total of two hours, including the time spent walking to and from work. As long as you ensure these four points, the kidney qi will gradually nourish itself. If combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment, it can recover faster. This is what I just said about "the separation of yin and yang leads to the extinction of essence and qi", which is manifested in the fact that there are more males than females.
The situation of 'Yin without Yang leads to Qi exhaustion' is more common in women. What does' Qi Jue 'mean? A shallower Qi is Qi deficiency, a deficiency of both Qi and blood. I feel weak and lack energy all over. The manifestation of Qi deficiency is Qi and blood deficiency, fatigue, lack of energy, and yellow complexion. Especially for women, after the age of 35, their complexion gradually turns yellow, they feel weak all over, they speak less and lazily every day, they have no appetite for meals, and their daily mobility is particularly poor. They are lazy all day long and don't want to move. They feel like they haven't done anything all day, but they still feel tired, which is called Qi deficiency. Another manifestation is that the skin gradually relaxes. Women with qi and blood deficiency that we see in clinical practice are only in their forties or forties, but they look like they are in their fifties. Why is that? Because as soon as the skin relaxes, there are more wrinkles, and when the skin droops, people appear particularly old. This is actually Qi deficiency. Qi deficiency is called having yin but not yang. What is yang? Yang is moving. Without yang energy, most of these women have cold hands and feet. When they were young, their hands and feet were particularly cold, and their yang energy was weak. It is possible that when they were young, they ate cold food, were greedy for coolness, and used air conditioning more frequently, which led to the root of the disease and made them prone to cold hands and feet and weak yang energy. In this way, his body becomes severely cold, and women even experience dysmenorrhea and blood clots every time they have their period. This is because the cold is particularly severe, and once the cold becomes severe, the circulation of qi and blood becomes blocked, resulting in deficiency cold - qi deficiency and body cold. When the cold air becomes heavy and the circulation of qi and blood becomes blocked, it is easy to cause blockage, which can turn into breast tumors, breast nodules, thyroid nodules, or uterine and ovarian fibroids or cysts. In short, these nodules and other things are prone to occur.
