The Story of Smallpox
Everyone knows that in the 18th century, in 1796, Edward Cener invented the method of vaccination, which is now popular worldwide, to prevent diseases.
Vaccination, especially cowpox, is mainly used to prevent smallpox. Before the invention of vaccination technology, smallpox was an important killer of children's deaths. In the 11th century AD, during the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of Song in ancient China, his prime minister was named Wang Dan. Wang Dan gave birth to many children in a row, all of whom died of smallpox. He gave birth to his last son and wanted his son to live longer. He asked the people around him if there was a good solution.
At that time, someone recommended him, saying that there was a doctor on Mount Emei who used a method to prevent smallpox in children. As a result, he invited the doctor to Kaifeng Prefecture, which is now Kaifeng, formerly known as Bianjing, Dongjing Bianliang, and the capital city of the Song Dynasty.
The doctor administered a smallpox vaccine to Wang Su, the son of Wang Dan. After vaccination, Wang Su began to have a fever 7 days later. In fact, all immunizations, vaccines, and vaccination methods involve injecting a small amount of inactivated virus into the body, which then produces an antibody that triggers an immune response. This antibody persists for a long time, and if the virus invades again in the future, this antibody can quickly eliminate the virus without causing significant problems.
The process of helping the body produce antibodies causes the body to heat up. After 12 days, the place where Wang Su got vaccinated began to scab, and he never had smallpox again after recovering. He lived until he was over 60 years old before passing away, and his health was very good. So this is the earliest recorded method of vaccination in traditional Chinese medicine, which is the method of inoculating with smallpox.
People born before the 1980s are familiar with this vaccination technique and have basic experience with it. When they were young, they had a small scar on their arm. But now we don't plant smallpox for children anymore, because it was in 1979 when the World Health Organization declared smallpox extinct worldwide, and this disease disappeared.
Vaccination techniques spread abroad
The current history of medicine is written around the development history of Western medicine, and the history of traditional Chinese medicine is actually several hundred years earlier than that of Western medicine. It is recorded in history that the vaccination technique was invented by the British, but it actually existed before.
According to the historical records of traditional Chinese medicine, in the Song Dynasty, there were many methods of inoculating smallpox, which were scattered in many medical books. Then our ancient people invented this method and exported it to the West. In 1742 AD, our ancient Chinese people invented four methods of acne inoculation, one called the acne clothing method, one called the acne slurry method, as well as the dry seedling method and the water seedling method, a total of four methods. In the Qing Dynasty, it began to spread to other countries.
At that time, it was spread to Türkiye through some medical professionals in Russia, and then spread to Europe and North Africa. During the Qianlong period, this technology spread to Japan and was introduced to Korea in 1793. Therefore, the smallpox vaccine was first invented by our ancient doctors and spread this vaccination technique to the Eurasian continent.
Drink mung bean or black bean soup after vaccination
I think it is necessary to get all the vaccines that the country currently requires children to receive, because it can help children enhance their immunity and establish antibodies and defense systems, which is very good for preventing many diseases in the future.
Why do children get fever after vaccination? Because these vaccines are actually trace toxins, but they are inactivated and not replicable. After injecting trace toxins into the body, the body will produce some reactions, which are generally similar to the reaction of catching a cold with a virus.
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, most of the ingredients are hot, and children are pure yang bodies with more heat and inflammation. Therefore, after vaccination, children can drink mung bean soup to clear heat and detoxify. Drinking mung bean soup will lower the body's heat and have a diuretic effect, and the metabolites in the body will be excreted through urine.
It's better to boil soup with black beans and green beans together. Black beans have a kidney tonifying effect, while black bean clothing can also have a moisturizing effect. Combining these two types of beans is very good for this child.
