What are the patterns of language development in infants and young children? What factors have an impact on this?
The development of children's language is a sign of whether the brain development is normal, usually divided into four stages:
1、 Developmental stage:
Newborns can only cry out loud without any other pronunciation. They can produce harmonious throat sounds at 2 months and nursing sounds at 3 months.
2、 Babbling stage:
From 4 to 12 months, initially babbling with unclear pronunciation, gradually producing a "clucking" sound. From 5 to 6 months, monosyllabic words will be produced, and from 7 to 8 months, polyphonic words such as "dad", "mom", "dada" will be produced, and simple syllables produced by adults can be repeated.
3、 Word and Sentence Stage:
After the age of one, one can use everyday vocabulary such as eating, sleeping, walking, etc. At the age of one and a half, one can speak single sentences and express demands in language, such as "eating" and "mom hugging". At the age of 2, I was able to say simple things correctly, such as "Mom is going to work," and I could read paintings and speak. At the age of 2 to 3, I was able to use pronouns, such as "you, me, and him
4、 Idiom stage:
First, I can speak noun words, then verb words, gradually connecting nouns and verb nouns with adjectives, followed by adverbs and simple conjunctions. At the age of 3, I was able to form sentences with several words and speak them clearly, repeating 1-2 stories I had heard before.
Can describe simple incidents that have happened, can sing short nursery rhymes, and speak one's own name. At the age of 4, one can accurately express oneself and speak a lot, but after the age of 5, their speech approaches that of an adult.
The development of children's speech is closely related to the development of the brain, and also requires normal auditory and vocal organs. The environment is monotonous, and people who come into contact with them speak little, so children speak late; There are also a few children whose intelligence is not lagging behind, but their speech development is delayed, some as late as 2-3 years old. If children over 3 years old still cannot speak, they should go to the hospital for examination in a timely manner.
