After swallowing the saliva, it melts the blood in the heart, improves vision in the liver, nourishes the spirit in the spleen, helps with qi in the lungs, and generates essence in the kidneys, naturally regulating the flow of the body and preventing various diseases from arising—— Ming Gong Zhongzhong's' Red Furnace Drips Snow '
I often tell my patients, "Many people may wash their faces clean, but from a distance, they look like they are covered in a layer of dust. This is what traditional Chinese medicine calls dull complexion, which is due to insufficient vital energy and kidney essence. Therefore, beauty is not just superficial. Only when the organs are calm, the qi and blood are balanced, the meridians are unobstructed, and the vital energy and kidney essence are abundant, can the complexion be moisturized and transparent from the inside out, and the skin naturally become delicate and smooth
In modern society, many people have weak kidney qi, and there are also many people who are young but have very few teeth left, all of which are manifestations of weak physical strength. To nourish kidney qi, on the one hand, avoid exposure to pornographic information; On the other hand, it is important to manage one's behavior and ensure that one goes to bed and wakes up early. This can protect the kidney qi of a good person from damage and also restore physical strength.
I have heard that 1400 years ago, during the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang, the physician Tao Hongjing was over eighty years old, with strong and intact teeth and a robust body. His main fitness method is the knocking technique. He believes that "teeth are not only bones and muscles", and knocking can make bones and muscles strong and refreshed.
The great poet of the Song Dynasty, Su Dongpo, also had the habit of kowtowing and exercising. He once said, "After midnight, put on your shirt and face southeast, sit cross legged, kowtow thirty-six times, and you will feel refreshed and invigorated
For middle-aged and elderly people, the health of their teeth is crucial and should not be taken lightly. The knocking and swallowing method can easily protect teeth. The first step of this technique is to kowtow.
Knocking method:
After waking up in the morning, do not speak, calm your mind, abandon distractions, relax your whole body, close your lips slightly, merge your mind and spirit, close your eyes, and then rhythmically tap your upper and lower teeth against each other, clanging and making a sound, no limit to the number of times. At the beginning of exercise, you can tap lightly about 20 times. As the exercise progresses, you can gradually increase the frequency and intensity of tapping, generally 36 times is better. The force can be measured according to the health level of the teeth, which is required to complete a knock.
Afterwards, rotate the tongue clockwise along the inside of the gums 36 times. When the saliva in the mouth accumulates more and more, and reaches the full mouth, we divide the saliva in the mouth into three mouthfuls, slowly swallow it, and send it into the lower abdomen with our intention. By practicing the complete exercise of tapping teeth and swallowing saliva, the body fluid can be returned to the dantian and slowly delivered to the lower abdomen, achieving the effect of nourishing yin and kidneys.
This completes a complete oral stimulation and swallowing therapy. It is best to knock your teeth 10 times each time, 10 times in the morning, 10 times in the middle, and 10 times in the evening of the day. Doing more is better. Among them, morning knocking is the most important because after a night's rest, teeth may become slightly loose. At this time, knocking can not only consolidate the gums and periodontal tissue, but also stimulate the dental nerves, blood vessels, and pulp cells, which is very beneficial for dental health.
I once paid a visit to an old traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who was over 70 years old. He still climbed the mountain with great strides, and many young people who accompanied him were panting and exhausted. However, the elderly person remained calm and composed, without showing signs of fatigue. Their complexion was bright and subtle, and their voice sounded like a bell.
When asked about his way of health preservation, he said, "The knocking and swallowing method." When walking with the elderly, I often hear the sound of swallowing saliva next to me, which means that the elderly has integrated the knocking and swallowing method into their daily lives, swallowing saliva at any time to fill the kidney essence. Over time, their vitality is abundant, and their body is naturally light and healthy, with a rosy complexion.
After knocking, swallow saliva, which is the saliva produced after oral activity. Saliva can maintain oral hygiene, help wet and soften food for easier swallowing, and contains amylase, which has a digestive effect on food. Modern medical research has confirmed that saliva contains immunoglobulins, amino acids, various enzymes, vitamins, and other substances that can participate in the body's metabolism, growth, and development, enhancing immune function.
In my clinic, there are often diabetes patients who struggle with the disease and cannot find a good way to relieve themselves. I recommend this method to them for practice.
In the view of traditional Chinese medicine, diabetes patients are mainly lack of yin essence, resulting in "three consumptions of the upper, middle and lower". If you persist in practicing the method of knocking teeth and swallowing saliva, the "body fluid" produced can be irrigated from top to bottom to the five organs and six viscera. Frequent tooth tapping can consolidate the kidney qi. At the same time, the body fluid produced can nourish the kidney yin. diabetes patients' feeling of "more urine, lumbar acid and fatigue" will gradually improve, and the kidney qi will gradually fill up.
It can be seen that the method of tapping teeth and swallowing fluid has an extraordinary effect of consolidating and replenishing kidney qi, and can also be used as a superior choice for daily health care of diabetes patients.
